Almost two decades ago, I embarked on a personal and professional journey into 3rd Party Reproduction.
Professional Experience:
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at California State University East Bay, I served as a Director, and Case Manager, at an international egg donation and surrogacy agency. It propelled me into grad school, and I graduated with my Counseling Psychology degree from the University of San Francisco. I was fortunate enough to serve as an Associate in both the San Francisco Bay Area and Ventura County, where I breathed in the rich cultures and gained my therapeutic footing.
I am a member of the Society of Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy (SEEDS), ASRM's Mental Health Professional Group (MHPG), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the Donor Conceived Community's Professional Group. I regularly attend and receive training at conferences put on by ASRM, SEEDS and the Jones Institute (formerly the Jefferson Infertility Counseling Conference).
Personal Experience:
I am a 6x egg donor, having donated via two fertility clinics's in-house donor programs (not banks) that were local to me. My recipients include 4x opposite-sex couples, 1x same-sex couple, and 1x SMBC. Though all 6 matches were technically "anonymous," I did meet the same-sex couple prior to matching with them, at their request - actually, IMMEDIATELY after meeting another couple who wasn't a good fit! During our meeting, I offered them my email address so we could share updates and photos. I met them again in person after my retrieval. I met their twins via Zoom, recently, at 11 years old. We send medical and personal updates, as well as photos over the years. I have received letters via the clinic from two other recipients; One confirming delivery of her twins (SMBC). I have confirmation of 6 live births but I suspect that there are approximately 7-10 children born from my donations. I have verbal and written confirmation that one couple did not conceive with the help of my eggs, but did conceive with another donor's eggs. After years of hearing stories from donor-conceived people (DCP), I decided to make myself "findable" via the Donor Sibling Registry, direct-to-consumer DNA testing, the fertility clinics and my attorneys.
I am also a 1x gestational carrier, for a same-sex couple who reside in NYC, and delivered their daughter in 2023. We are in touch to this day and I see them annually. My husband has been with me throughout my surrogacy journey AND 5 egg donation cycles.
My personal experience in the field offers me a unique perspective that I bring to the work that I do with my clients. I've undergone all of the testing, almost every medical procedure and have taken all of the medications that any woman undergoing IVF can expect to endure. I believe that every client, story and journey is unique and something that I honor with deep respect.
I’m proud to present myself authentically, with natural curls, typically without makeup, and with a more casual dress and speech. I believe that modeling authenticity can inspire others to live a more authentic life with increased self-love and acceptance. My practice is open to residents of California who are seeking support via psychotherapy, Intended/Recipient Psychoeducational Consultations, as well as psychological testing for egg donors and gestational carriers.
I currently see all of my clients virtually via HIPAA compliant Telehealth software. I reside in Newbury Park with my husband and two young children. Hiking and cycling are my constants, I feel most at home in the water, I'm a sucker for board games and I listen to Audiobooks daily - I always have recommendations!
Whether you're here for a 1x service or ongoing therapy, I’m grateful for being invited on this journey with you.
